Fuyang

Fuyang (Chinese: 阜阳; pinyin: Fǔyáng) is a prefecture-level city in northwestern Anhui province, People's Republic of China. It borders Bozhou to the northeast, Huainan to the southeast, Lu'an to the south, and the province of Henan on all other sides. Yingquan Precinct (颍泉区) of Fuyang is widely criticized for its lavish spending to built its luxury governmental office building, which is designed as a miniture cross between the White House and the United States capitol. The average of income of local peasants which make up the bulk of local populaton of the precinct is only 2,000 Renminbi (around 250 United States dollars) per year, and the office building cost more than 30 million Renminbi (around 375 million United States dollars), nearly one third of the annual income of the Yingquan Precinct (颍泉区).
