Elbasan District

The District of Elbasan (Albanian: Rrethi i Elbasanit) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania. It has a population of 224,000 (2004 estimate), and an area of 1,290 km². It is in the centre of the country, and its capital is Elbasan. Other towns in this district include Cërrik and Kërrabë.
