Middleton

Middleton is a town on the Annapolis River in Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada. As of 2001 the population was 1,744. It was incorporated in 1909 and located approximately at the centre of the Annapolis Valley. From a transportation perspective, Middleton is at the junction of Highway 101 (which connects Halifax to Yarmouth via the Annapolis Valley) and Highway 10 (which connects Middleton to Bridgewater and Lunenburg) Founded by New England and Loyalist settlers it is a local service centre for surrounding agricultural areas.
