LunenburgLunenburg is a small town on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada approximately 90 kilometres southwest of Halifax, on the Atlantic coast. Its population in 2001 was 2,568. During the summer, large numbers of tourists increase the area's population. Lunenburg was founded in 1753 and was named in honour of the King of Great Britain and Ireland, (George II), who was also the Duke of Brunswick-Lunenburg.
