ProddaturProddatur is a town and a municipality in Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh state of southern India. Proddatur is mostly known for the trade of gold which occurs through this place. After Bombay, in India, this place is supposed to have the highest transaction of gold in the country. Also it is a known base for some major chemical and cement industries like Zuari, ICL and the like. Proddatur is also famous for Dussera Celebrations.For this reason it is often reffered to as "Second Mysore".
