East Delhi

East Delhi is an administrative district of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India. Yamuna river in Delhi divides the city into two parts. The part of Delhi that falls on the eastern side of the river is often referred as East Delhi. This region is better known as the trans Yamuna area and comprises of regions like Preet Vihar, Mayur Vihar, Gandhi Nagar, Vivek Vihar and Shahadara.
